After I had finished a piece like this with the same background, but with a pink tree, I wanted to try my hand at making the tree the opposite color, a turquoise. I didn't think it was interesting enough, so I added some light yellow (or cream) to the composition with more illumination in the background, as though moonlight is showing through. The moonlight added some depth to a relatively flat design. I hope you like the effect.

Featured is a turquoise tree (more toward the green end than the blue end) with a couple of different kinds of plant leaves, with some in turquoise and some in lighter yellow. Also featured are butterflies and a circle on the trunk (to mirror the moonlight in the background).
