Artist's Description
This is something I came upon in one of my favorite meadows. These sticks were in the ground and in the shadow and ahead of it was the sunlit landscape. "Ah, nature's fence", I thought. Thus, giving this piece the title, "The Fence".
The branches kind of carve out their own colors, making a kind of mosaic of the landscape.
This photograph was taken in upstate, New York in Saratoga County, NY.
About Lise Winne
I have a bachelor's degree in Studio Art and a masters degree in Art Education. I used to be an art teacher and taught grades K - 12. In order to teach art in the public schools, I needed to learn a lot of mediums. I have carried this into my art studio as well, painting in one area of the studio and making altered digital photographs in another part of the studio. My primary mediums are painting, drawing, digital art, illustrations, cartoons, hand thrown pottery and relief sculpture. If you see pottery in my photographic work, it is my own hand-thrown piece.
