Product Details

Our greeting cards are 5" x 7" in size and are produced on digital offset printers using 100 lb. paper stock. Each card is coated with a UV protectant on the outside surface which produces a semi-gloss finish. The inside of each card has a matte white finish and can be customized with your own message up to 500 characters in length. Each card comes with a white envelope for mailing or gift giving.

This piece was made for Abbie Shores's challenge, "Edit This" #19 located here: https://fineartamerica.com/contests/edit-this-19.html

This is my first try at it, with others following. It is meant to look monochromatic to give a tapestry and textured kind of look to it.

A pigeon looks over a garden of both hedges and potted plants. There is a low garden wall that separates the hedges from the potted plant.

symbolism:

pigeon: loving, kindness, sacrifice
garden: the soul
hedges: privacy, backdrop
potted plants: caring and luck

I have a bachelor's degree in Studio Art and a masters degree in Art Education. I used to be an art teacher and taught grades K - 12. In order to teach art in the public schools, I needed to learn a lot of mediums. I have carried this into my art studio as well, painting in one area of the studio and making altered digital photographs in another part of the studio. My primary mediums are painting, drawing, digital art, illustrations, cartoons, hand thrown pottery and relief sculpture. If you see pottery in my photographic work, it is my own hand-thrown piece.
