Artist's Description
I made this design in 2009, originally as a greeting card design for Easter. I have been a greeting card designer since 1998. Most of my greeting card designs were meant to be off the beaten track.
In 2016, I decided I felt I had made enough greeting cards and decided to go forward into making more fine arts pieces.
But this one seemed to go with my most recent work, so I decided to add it to my portfolio.
Featured are doves in outer space circling a celestial egg (made to look like a planet except that it is egg shaped).
The original is for sale at this time. It is an 8" x 10" piece. E-mail me if interested.
SYMBOLISM:
* doves: peace, sacrifice for a message
* egg: creation, creativity, the promise of new life. The cosmic egg is the egg that started it all: the universe.
FEATURED IN:
*New Age Spiritual Art
About Lise Winne
I have a bachelor's degree in Studio Art and a masters degree in Art Education. I used to be an art teacher and taught grades K - 12. In order to teach art in the public schools, I needed to learn a lot of mediums. I have carried this into my art studio as well, painting in one area of the studio and making altered digital photographs in another part of the studio. My primary mediums are painting, drawing, digital art, illustrations, cartoons, hand thrown pottery and relief sculpture. If you see pottery in my photographic work, it is my own hand-thrown piece. I have shown my work in galleries and through juried shows at art centers and museums. Some notables include The Delaware Art Museum, Haverford Center of the Arts,...
