Description
The vase is something I hand-threw myself on a potter's wheel, and glazed with a Chinese glaze called celadon, one of my favorite colors for displaying flowers.
This bouquet of flowers came from my own backyard. It features flowers that bloom in late August in upstate NY near the Vermont border including goldenrod, pink roses, and these light purple flowers (which look like a weed the rest of the summer). I also put some cedar and pine in with the bouquet.
The border design is made from roses and light purple flowers. One of them had this berry on the end of it, which I thought might be perfect for the border.
This design is part of "the bouquet series", a series I started in 2013. Some of the bouquets are made into figures, some are just a bundle of mother nature, and some are featured in vases, like this one.
