Lise this piece is the epitome of "fine art". I love that awesome border, it merely enhances the beauty of that sweet little Robin. This drawing earns you the prestigious "Rockin` Robin" gold medal. l.v.f. great work, way to go.

Lise Winne replied:

Thanks, Dave! "Rockin' Robin" = like! :-)

Artist's Description

The original intention for this piece was as a greeting card design, but it also stands on its own as art for the wall and on products.

Blue eggs are a Robin's specialty.

The Celtic style border is something I am known for in my work.

symbolism:
* robin: hope, renewal, rejuvenation, pleasure, happiness
* knots: eternity, continuity, tradition
* vines: continuity, regeneration, opportunity, fertility
* eggs: new life, new ideas, creativity

About Lise Winne

Lise Winne

I have a bachelor's degree in Studio Art and a masters degree in Art Education. I used to be an art teacher and taught grades K - 12. In order to teach art in the public schools, I needed to learn a lot of mediums. I have carried this into my art studio as well, painting in one area of the studio and making altered digital photographs in another part of the studio. My primary mediums are painting, drawing, digital art, illustrations, cartoons, hand thrown pottery and relief sculpture. If you see pottery in my photographic work, it is my own hand-thrown piece. I have shown my work in galleries and through juried shows at art centers and museums. Some notables include The Delaware Art Museum, Haverford Center of the Arts,...
