Featured are a mother and baby white Sapientes Pacis birds (translated from Latin: "wise peace birds"). They are looking at one another. The baby bird is trying to get reassurance and a lesson from the parent bird while three white butterflies flutter in the background amid the millefleurs. Seeds and pollen and maybe some fairy orbs dance around in the background as well.

These are made up birds of my own creation and are featured in a number of pieces.

This piece is part of my millefleurs series as well as part of my exotic bird series.

The design and concept is dedicated to the memory of artist and quilter, Leslie Fuller, who told her son on her deathbed that what she wanted most was for him to spread loving kindness.

The original is for sale at the time of this writing. It is a small 5 x 7 acrylic painting in a gold plein air frame and on the back is the dedication to Leslie Fuller as well as the phrase by St. Augustine, "In necessariis unitas, in dubiis libertas" and "miserericordiam usu" (translated from Latin it means: "unity in necessary things, liberty in doubtful things" and "spread kindness").
