This piece was meant to be a birthday card and is part of my exotic bird series. There are also totes and other products for this design.
Depicted are two elves (a boy and girl elf) in birthday attire and birthday hats riding an exotic bird. The bird is very fanciful with billowy purple and yellow wings (with swirls) somewhat resembling balloons. The bird has a crown on its head and a beard, with thin streamers for a tail.
This piece was painted around 2009, in watercolors (with ink for details).
