This is one of my more bizarre pieces, but sometimes the situation calls for it.
Featured is a fairy with a gold crown, lots of legs, and blue wings. Her outfit is adorned with playing card symbols. She is on a background leaf featuring other playing card symbols. A simple red border ties the piece together.
The original was made in 2011.
I have a bachelor's degree in Studio Art and a masters degree in Art Education. I used to be an art teacher and taught grades K - 12. In order to teach art in the public schools, I needed to learn a lot of mediums. I have carried this into my art studio as well, painting in one area of the studio and making altered digital photographs in another part of the studio. My primary mediums are painting, drawing, digital art, illustrations, cartoons, hand thrown pottery and relief sculpture. If you see pottery in my photographic work, it is my own hand-thrown piece.
