Description
This piece is a slight digital variation of my piece called "Bunny Nest with Red Flowers and White Butterflies" (in my gallery). In this variation, I de-saturated the colors, amp-ed up the contrast and made the background more purple. It's not a big variation, but if you like a little more contrast and some darker reds than the original piece, this affords that.
My original intent was to make a piece that might be nice in a child's room, either as wall art or a cozy blanket. It just might help get your child to sleep. If you like Renaissance inspired art that is intricate, more old world (tapestry-like), and less about the neon colors that you usually associate children's rooms and modern art with, this variation was made for that purpose.
In terms of symbolism, this piece has a great number of positive ones, from the white rabbit (something brewing for the highest good), to the white butterflies (protection, messages from the spirit world), and the vines (traditions, continuity). We tend to be attracted to certain kinds of art for certain reasons, including the symbolic meanings, so may it bring all of those things to you.
This piece made it to sixth place in the Children's Illustration contest: https://fineartamerica.com/contests/childrens-illustrations.html?tab=leaderboard
